Dealing with pain

Giving birth is accompanied by pain. When you have contractions, your body produces painkillers (endorphins), so you feel less pain. If you are very tense or anxious, the production of these endorphins is hindered. By good breathing technique and relaxation (for example heat and massage) this pain be experienced as bearable. Being well prepared helps you to deal with the pain.
